EU-LAC Digital Accelerator welcomes a new partnership between Vintom, a leading Polish personalised video software, and Percus, a Chilean startup specialised in personalised communications for enterprises in Latin America. Together, they aim to revolutionise how organisations in Peru communicate with their customers.

If you already sent a mass email, you probably know what merge fields are.

If not, the following example should enlighten you:

Dear [NAME], we hope [COMPANY NAME] is doing well.

Merge fields are small bits of text you can insert in an email to hyperpersonalise it with specific employee, prospect, or customer information.

The question is: do your emails get read?

Addressing the Challenge

That is a challenge faced by many large organisations, such as banks, insurance companies, telecom operators, and utility providers, who generally communicate in written complex and sensitive information to their customers.

However, traditional text-heavy communication often fails to capture attention, leading to poor engagement, misunderstandings, and missed opportunities.

As a consequence:

  • Poor sales results
  • Increased customer churn rates;
  • Increased customer service costs,
  • Reputational risks.

How to make such information engaging for customers?

Coming back to our initial merge field analogy, what if you could use them not only in emails, but also in videos? You could change text but also pictures, background colour, and much more.

Personalising videos just like you used to personalise emails is exactly what Vintom, a firm headquartered in Poland, does in order to make “boring” information far more engaging.

Through its partnership with Percus, Vintom seeks to adapt its hyper-personalised video technology for the Peruvian market, overcoming barriers to entry while addressing these communication challenges head-on.

A Strategic Partnership

On the other side of the Atlantic Ocean and crossing the Andes, Percus, a Chilean company, also built a solid reputation for making personalised videos.

They notably have deep expertise in cultural adaptation across Latin America. By collaborating with Vintom, Percus aims to localise Vintom’s video personalisation technology for Peruvian businesses.

Their joint solution focuses on transforming static, text-heavy communication into dynamic video messages tailored to individual user preferences, context, and transaction history—all while ensuring data privacy. This partnership will empower Peruvian companies to create more engaging and effective customer interactions.

The Collaboration Framework

The partnership between Vintom and Percus will be supported by the EU-LAC Digital Accelerator, with significant backing from its partner, Wayra Hispam, to ensure the collaboration achieves impactful results. The framework focuses on:

  • Identifying key customer segments in the Peruvian market to target with the solution.
  • Designing and executing a tailored pilot project that addresses local market needs and validates the solution’s potential.
  • Analysing pilot results to refine the approach and establish a scalable model for broader implementation.
  • Developing a comprehensive roadmap for regional expansion, leveraging insights from the pilot to facilitate rollout across Latin America.

In addition, the programme provides the partnership with essential acceleration services, including:

  1. Creating a detailed market entry strategy to position Vintom effectively in Peru.
  2. Supporting the design and implementation of pilot projects to demonstrate the solution’s value and adaptability.
  3. Developing actionable plans for scaling the solution into new markets, ensuring long-term growth and impact.

Expected Results

By the end of the acceleration program, Vintom and Percus aim to achieve the following results:

  • Validation of Vintom’s technology in the Peruvian market, ensuring scalability and local relevance.
  • Improved customer engagement metrics through personalised and contextually relevant solutions.
  • A comprehensive market entry strategy for Vintom in Peru.
  • A proven model for expansion into other Latin American markets.

This partnership highlights the potential for cross-regional collaboration to address shared challenges. By combining Vintom’s technical expertise with Percus’s cultural insight and local experience, the collaboration is set to deliver a transformative communication solution for businesses in Peru and beyond.

Stay tuned for updates on the progress of this exciting partnership as they work together to reshape the future of customer communication in Latin America.
