The International Accelerator for the Strengthening of Business Support Intermediaries in Jamaica (implemented under the Boosting Innovation Growth and Entrepreneurship Ecosystems (BIGEE) Project) had its final event on 16 May in Kingston. The event marked a significant milestone in efforts to build a stronger, more sustainable ecosystem for innovation and entrepreneurship across Jamaica.
Digital Connectors Jamaica joins forces with the International Accelerator and the Development Bank of Jamaica (DBJ) to organise an event that will bring together a dynamic network of business incubators, accelerators, and other business support organisations for a day of knowledge-sharing, inspiration, and forward planning.
The agenda will included sessions on:
- Financial Sustainability for Business Support Intermediaries
This session explored practical approaches to ensuring the long-term viability and resilience of organisations that support startups and SMEs. - The Entrepreneurial Mindset
An energising lecture that delved into the mental frameworks and behaviours that drive successful entrepreneurship, innovation, and leadership. - The EU-LAC Digital Accelerator: A New Frontier for Jamaican Startups
A forward-looking discussion on how the EU-LAC Digital Accelerator platform can connect Jamaican entrepreneurs with European and Latin American markets, partnerships, and growth opportunities.
The BIGEE Project has played a critical role in enhancing Jamaica’s innovation landscape by empowering institutions that support business development. This final event not only celebrated those achievements but also charts a path for future collaboration, investment, and impact, through the EU-LAC Digital Accelerator and the upcoming activities of Digital Connectors Jamaica.
