On 26 February 2025, Caribbean Export, partner of the EU-LAC Digital Accelerator, organised a workshop at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel in Kingston, Jamaica.
The goal: inform startups on strategies to scale through corporate partnerships.
20 startups participated, some of which have reached an advanced stage of development with market-ready solutions.
For this session, the Carribean Export team partnered with stakeholders from the BIGEE programme, whose goal is to promote sustainable and robust growth among startups and SMEs in Jamaica.
They presented the advantages for startups to partner with corporates (access new markets, develop, improve a pilot solution, etc.) as well as the EU-LAC accelerator programme entirely built to accelerate corporate-startup partnerships.
Following the workshop, the Caribbean Export team will work hard with the startups to match them with some of the corporates from Europe and Latin America that are listed on the EU-LAC Digital Accelerator matching platform.
Overall, the startups went back home very satisfied with the quality of the workshop. More than 9 participants out of 10 enjoyed the presentation and understood the purpose of the EU-LAC Digital Accelerator.
