On 26 March 2026, the EU–LAC Digital Accelerator, in partnership with the Women in Digital (WiD) Forum, hosted a targeted webinar titled:

“Is your women-led startup ready to cross the Atlantic? Discover the EU–LAC Digital Accelerator.”

The session focused on one clear objective: helping women-led startups and digital SMEs understand how to expand across Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean, and how to use the EU–LAC Digital Accelerator as a practical route to do so. Over the course of the webinar:

  • Brendan Rowan (Connecting Women in Digital) provided context on the need to strengthen women’s participation in the digital economy.
  • Ruben Abarca (Coordinator, WiD Forum) then presented the role of the Women in Digital Forum as a pan-European platform working to remove structural barriers for women across the digital pipeline, from education to leadership.
  • Naiara Uribe (Technical Coordinator, EU–LAC Digital Accelerator) provided a clear overview of how the Accelerator works in practice, with a focus on how corporate–startup collaborations are supported from early alignment through to the development of market-ready solutions.
  • Xènia Colomer (EBAN – European Business Angels Network) introduced the fifth open call, outlining who can apply, what is expected from applicants, and how selected partnerships benefit from the programme’s services and funding opportunities.
  • The session also featured a concrete success story from Constanza Boix, Co-founder of Nudavitta, who has already gone through the EU–LAC Digital Accelerator, offering a direct view of the outcomes and challenges of scaling across regions.
