Last month, our colleague Rubén Carrandi, Senior Project Leader at EBN, participated at the Bahia Tech Experience 2023 (BTX). This conference aims to boost innovation and technology in Bahia, and features panels, matchmaking rounds, games area and startups exhibition, among others. The event offers relevant content, global connections and access to solutions developed in Bahia.

In its first year, BTX brought together important Brazilian and international names to discuss and share perspectives, opportunities and knowledge with local stakeholders as startups, tech companies and entrepreneurs, and we are glad to have been represented by our partner EBN.

The event took place between September 28th and 30th, at Parque Tecnológico da Bahia in Salvador, and Rubén Carrandi participated in the panelUnraveling Europe’s Innovation Ecosystems’, together with Miguel Silvestre, Executive Director at Parque Tecnológico de Óbidos (Portugal) and Yrjö Ojasaar, Investment Partner at Change Ventures (Estonia). The inspiring panel was dedicated to talk about how Europe has built and nurtured environments conducive to creativity, collaboration and the development of cutting-edge technologies. The panellists discussed the opportunities and challenges of Brazilian local ecosystem players and startups and how they can learn and connect with the European Ecosystem.

The event, which is totally aligned with the EU-LAC Digital Accelerator mission, was a perfect opportunity to raise awareness about our project within the Brazilian innovation ecosystem and to extend the invitation to local corporates to submit a challenge to the EU-LAC Digital Accelerator matching platform and connect with with startups that match the challenges to improve, renovate and diversify their businesses.

Thanks to @uGlobally and the organisers of the BTX for giving us the chance to spread the news about the EU-LAC Digital Accelerator. Please, corporates, business support intermediaries, startups… join us here!
