On 4 March 2025, the EU-LAC Digital Accelerator held a workshop on corporate venturing at the Leading Lights 2025 Congress in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The workshop aimed at supporting participating companies in defining their innovation challenges by identifying several elements, such as:
- The current needs of the company,
- The context in which the challenge would be tackled,
- The identification of preferred digital technologies,
- The contribution companies can make in their open innovation processes with startups.
15 participants registered, including major corporates such as Volvo and Alfa Laval, and with whom Jesús De La Quintana Perez, representing the EU-LAC Digital Accelerator team, was able to develop a 60-minute hands-on working session to outline their digital challenges.
The EU-LAC initiative impressed with its focus, solid structure, and the breadth of acceleration services solving a variety of challenges ranging from technical feasibility to investment readiness. The exchange between the various participants, who came from different industries, was very enriching. It was possible to prepare several challenges for their projection towards the EU-LAC matching platform.
We will keep working individually with the companies to refine those challenges before implementing them on the platform.
Special thanks to EITM for hosting us at Leading Lights, the reference event for the Manufacturing ecosystem.
