On 24 June 2026, the Lodz Special Economic Zone and the EU-LAC Digital Accelerator hosted a webinar introducing Polish startups to opportunities to expand into Latin American and Caribbean markets through open innovation partnerships.
The session presented how startups and SMEs can connect with corporates through the EU-LAC Digital Accelerator’s Matching Platform, develop proofs of concept to validate their solutions in real-world business environments, and use these collaborations as a pathway to international market entry.
Participants also learned about the programme’s open innovation calls, its portfolio of acceleration services, including proof-of-concept development, internationalisation strategy, and scaling into corporate structures, as well as the financial support available for selected corporate-startup partnerships.
The webinar highlighted the role of the Lodz Special Economic Zone in supporting business innovation and internationalisation, while demonstrating how the EU-LAC Digital Accelerator helps European companies build structured partnerships with organisations across Latin America and the Caribbean.
