Caribbean Export, Caribbean partner of the EU-LAC Digital Accelerator, recently participated in BOOSTcamp – Growth Edition 2025, an event dedicated to empowering founders and advancing entrepreneurial growth across the Caribbean. Organised by Boost Acceleration Camp in the Dominican Republic, the initiative brought together startups, investors, and innovation leaders for a full day of capacity building, networking, and investment-readiness training.
During the event’s Founders Day, Dr Damie Sinanan, Executive Director of Caribbean Export, underscored the importance of digital transformation and cross-regional collaboration in strengthening competitiveness and fostering growth among emerging enterprises. He highlighted how digital tools can bridge market gaps and scale innovation across the region.
Leo Naut, Deputy Executive Director of Caribbean Export, presented the organisation’s continued efforts in supporting private sector development and introduced the opportunities available through the EU-LAC Digital Accelerator. Funded by the European Union under the Global Gateway initiative, the Accelerator aims to build stronger corporate–startup connections between Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
As part of the programme, EU-LAC Digital Accelerator representative Michelle Aybar hosted a Startup Clinic, providing one-on-one guidance to founders. The sessions helped startups refine their solutions and explore potential international partnerships through the Accelerator’s growing ecosystem.
BOOSTcamp – Growth Edition 2025 successfully created a platform for deep engagement, equipping entrepreneurs with tools to improve their investment-readiness while strengthening ties within the innovation community. The event also contributed to expanding the regional startup pipeline, identifying promising candidates for upcoming collaboration opportunities within the EU-LAC framework.
