The 10th Open Innovation conference was held on the 12 of June at the premises of partner IESE Business School Campus in Madrid, Spain. The EU-LAC Digital Accelerator supported the initiative and was featured, demonstrating our dedication to improving digital transformation in EU-LAC regions and fostering business partnerships.

The event was an excellent opportunity to connect with top industry leaders, explore corporate venturing innovations, and learn from a study on corporate alliances featuring 50 successful cases. We had the privilege of hearing 15 influential speakers from companies such as Kapita, TDK Ventures, IKEA, Volvo Group, ACCIONA, Johnson Controls International, Redeia, Mondragon, The Coca-Cola Company, MAPFRE, CEMEX Ventures, Nike and Decathlon.

The conference provided valuable insights into research results, case examples and scenarios related to the six ways of developing corporate venturing squads. Additionally, IESE Business School released a report on the innovation benefits of corporate venturing squads, which found that strategic alliances between corporations and startups have potential for better access to startup deal flow, innovation networks and reduced costs and risks.

With almost 500 professionals interested in learning how large companies collaborate with innovation ecosystems, the conference was a successful place to take valuable lessons and generate good practices for our EU-LAC Digital Accelerator open innovation ecosystem.
