While European, Latin American, and The Caribbean regions have their growing VC investing ecosystems, the EU-LAC Digital Accelerator aims to establish the first-ever EU-LAC Investor Community.
This platform is dedicated to fostering cross-regional investments between Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC), driving innovation and economic growth through strategic collaboration.
As part of its mission to promote collaborations, investments, and expand opportunities between the LAC and European regions, the European Business Angel Network (EBAN) is organising the first LATAM Investor Roadshow. Through this roadshow, the EU-LAC Digital Accelerator will participate in key innovation events across LATAM countries, aiming to extend its influence and grow not only the EU-LAC Investor Community but also its network of companies, startups, corporates, and business support organizations that can benefit from participating in the digital accelerator.
First stop: LIMA Tech Week (November 5th – 7th)
Lima Tech Week 2024 is set to be the premier technology event in Peru, with the Peru Venture Capital Conference (PVCC) taking center stage. The EU-LAC Digital Accelerator will be at the forefront, driving key conversations with investors and like-minded innovators. From November 4 to 10, entrepreneurs, investors, and industry experts will converge in Lima to explore cutting-edge trends in tech innovation and engage in cross-border investment opportunities.
The EU-LAC Digital Accelerator team is actively involved in several key sessions during the week:
November 5 – Session 1: CVC: How can the corporate get involved with startups? Do I invest, buy or develop?

This dynamic series of events highlights the growing importance of innovation, collaboration, and investment between Latin America and global stakeholders.
Second stop: Roadshow event at Mexico City (November 12th – 14th)
The EU-LAC Digital Accelerator will hold its annual General Assembly in Mexico on the 12th and 13th of November. Taking advantage of that, EBAN will host a one-day session to celebrate the LATAM Investor Roadshow.

Session 1: Bridging Markets: Investor Insights on Expanding Across LATAM & the Caribbean
- Focus: Investor perspectives on the unique challenges and opportunities of investing across multiple Latin American and Caribbean markets.
- Goal: To share insights on navigating regulatory environments, accessing talent, and managing risks.
- Speakers: Colaborativo VC, CARIBBEAN EXPORT, and Cross-Border Investors
Session 2: Beyond Borders: Unlocking Value in Regional Ecosystems through Corporate Innovation
- Focus: Role of regional organizations, trade agreements, and partnerships in enhancing cross-border investments.
- Goal: Address the importance of policy, economic integration, and regional cooperation for startup success in global markets.
- Speakers: IDB Lab, Octantis and Wayra Hispam
Session 3: Pitching Session and Reverse Pitching Session
- Focus: A selection of founders and investors present their companies, discuss actionable steps, and set cross-border collaboration goals for the next 6-12 months.
- Goal: Facilitate initial conversations for partnerships, with concrete next steps for follow-up after the roadshow.
- Speakers: Founders from selected startups in LATAM and Caribbean regions and Investors.
Session 4: Closing Remarks
- Goal: Establish connections and create opportunities for follow-up meetings and potential investments.
- Participants: Invited startups and investors from the LATAM, Caribbean, and European regions.
