On Thursday 3 April 2025, the Ministry of Economy of El Salvador, in collaboration with the EU-LAC Digital Accelerator, organised the webinar “Boosting digital innovation in El Salvador with the EU-LAC Digital Accelerator”.
This event aimed to present the EU-LAC Digital Accelerator as an opportunity for the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem of El Salvador to strengthen its business relations, especially in the digital field, with Europe and the Caribbean.
To begin the session, Alejandro Panameño, Director of Innovation and Competitiveness at the Ministry of Economy of El Salvador, greeted all the participants and gave a high-level view of the importance of innovation in El Salvador.
He was then followed by Ana Coimbra, Head of Cooperation of the Delegation of the European Union in El Salvador.
Later, we dived into the heart of the topic with Maika Gorostidi, Director of the EU-LAC Digital Accelerator, who explained the concept of the accelerator and the eligibility requirements.
Miguel Rodríguez, Business Developer at Octantis detailed the services provided by the accelerator and also referred to the matching platform, where companies with no partner can find their innovation soulmate.
Eventually, Constanza Boix, founder and CEO of Nuda, a Uruguayan company currently part of the acceleration programme, along with a Spanish firm and another Uruguayan firm, gave a concrete overview of the benefits of the accelerator.
