Consistent service starts with consistent training

Whether it is about cleaning a hotel room, maintaining a hospital facility or managing a commercial building, service quality depends on people following the same standards, every day, across every location.

For Antraco Aruba, delivering facility management services means coordinating teams that work in shifts, often across multiple client sites and with different levels of experience.

As the company continues to grow, ensuring that every employee receives the right training at the right moment has become just as important as managing schedules and daily operations.

Today, Antraco already uses the Horizen workforce management platform to organise shifts and improve operational traceability.

However, one essential piece is still missing: a structured self-training system that allows employees to continuously develop their skills without disrupting daily operations.

Without a unified approach to training, organisations risk inconsistent service delivery, longer onboarding periods, limited visibility into workforce readiness and reduced compliance with operational procedures.

The challenge is clear: make learning as accessible as the work itself.

Training, scheduling and operational management in one platform

To address this challenge, Antraco partnered with Banana Script, an Estonian startup behind the Horizen workforce management platform.

Together, they will develop and validate a new self-training module that integrates learning directly into employees’ daily workflow.

Rather than relying on separate learning systems, the new module allows employers to create, manage and distribute structured training content from the same platform already used to coordinate workforce operations.

The solution combines:

  • Self-paced digital training, allowing employees to access videos, tutorials, images and instructional content directly from the Horizen mobile application.
  • Role-based learning paths, ensuring every employee receives training relevant to their responsibilities.
  • Administrative content management, enabling employers to update and distribute learning materials from a central portal.
  • Training progress tracking, monitoring completion status, time spent and workforce readiness.
  • Operational integration, connecting training data with scheduling, traceability and payroll information to provide a complete overview of workforce performance.

By bringing workforce management and continuous learning together in one platform, the partnership aims to simplify onboarding, standardise service delivery and provide managers with measurable insights into employee preparedness across multiple facilities.

Three acceleration services to prepare a scalable solution

Through the EU-LAC Digital Accelerator, the collaboration benefits from three complementary acceleration services designed to validate both the technology and its long-term commercial potential.

  • Service n°1: PoC Design & Prototyping

Led by Wayra, this service defines the framework for implementing and validating the pilot.

It establishes the pilot methodology, KPIs, stakeholder engagement plan and regular progress reviews, ensuring that the new self-training module is evaluated in a real operational environment with measurable results.

We want to validate a practical way to standardise service delivery and make training easier to access for shift-based teams. The PoC will test whether Horizen can give us measurable visibility into training progress, workforce readiness, and compliance in a real client environment.

  • Service n°2: Business Model Design

Led by EBN, this service supports the partners in developing a robust commercial strategy for the new solution.

It includes the definition of customer profiles, the value proposition, financial modelling, and a validated Business Model Canvas, helping both organisations understand the investment potential and the long-term business opportunities created through the collaboration.

  • Service n°3: International Growth & Soft Landing

Also delivered by EBN, this service prepares Banana Script for international expansion.

It analyses market opportunities and develops an internationalisation strategy to support the commercial deployment of Horizen across Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, transforming the pilot into a foundation for future market growth.

This collaboration gives us a structured setting to build and validate a self-training module within Horizen. We aim to test the module with real users, learn from operational feedback, and use the results to prepare a broader rollout across Antraco's clients and the Caribbean region.
