On 28 October 2026, Agile Procurement held its Procurement Innovation Day at the Meliá Lima hotel in San Isidro, Peru.
The event was part of the 14th edition of PIDTOUR, Agile Procurement’s series of procurement events across Latin America.
The agenda opened with talks and round tables on innovation and technology in purchasing.
It then moved to a hands-on bootcamp.
The bootcamp was designed to help participants build a data and stakeholder ecosystem for applying AI agents to procurement, using Agile Procurement’s methodology.
It also covered automating supplier onboarding and using design thinking for one-off procurement projects.
Lucía Martti from Wayra, one of the partners behind the programme, represented the EU-LAC Digital Accelerator.
Her interview slot was designed to show how the accelerator connects corporates and startups.
The host choice gave the session a ready-made case study.
Eduardo Ranz Navarro, Chief Executive Officer of Agile Procurement, leads one of the accelerator’s supported partnerships.
His Spanish company teamed up with Antraco Aruba to make project management faster and more transparent across Aruba’s public administration.
Inside the accelerator, the partnership received three services:
- Wayra led proof of concept design and prototyping, setting the pilot’s method and performance indicators.
- International growth and soft landing, led by the European Business and Innovation Centre Network, which built a commercialisation roadmap for Aruba, Latin America and the Caribbean.
- Intellectual property management, also delivered by the European Business and Innovation Centre Network, defined ownership of the pilot’s outputs.
In a simulated multi-role workflow, the pilot cut project coordination time by 70%, from 10 days to 3.
For a procurement audience, the partnership shows the accelerator from the supplier’s side.
A startup tested its solution with public-sector users, with targets agreed before the pilot started and results measured against them.
