Today we officially launch our first Open Call for European, Latin American, and Caribbean partnerships consisting of corporates from one region and a startup or SME from other region.

Our Accelerator supports a new generation of business partnerships consisting of a European, Latin American and Caribbean corporate with a challenge and an innovative startup or SME with a digital-based solution. Our Matching Platform connects challenges with a digital solution from a startup in a different region where the corporate is based and through our first Open Call, we invite both, generated through the Matching Platform and external EU-LAC business partnerships, to apply for the acceleration services valued at €30,000 free of charge.

Tailor-made acceleration to make business partnerships thrive 

The EU-LAC Digital Accelerator Matching Platform has received over the last months challenges from corporates and innovative digital solutions from startups. As a result, the platform has facilitated the creation of EU-LAC business partnerships that are eligible for acceleration services. 

Each EU-LAC partnership meeting the requirements and external ones can apply to the Open Call and access acceleration services valued up to €30,000 free of charge, including:

  • Development of an acceleration roadmap.
  • Design and implementation of proof-of-concepts.
  • Validation of business cases.
  • Assessment of the and investment and scaling readiness.

The applications are processed on a “first come, first served” basis. However, the final deadline for interested EU-LAC partnerships to submit their application in this first open call is April 30th, 2024.

EU-LAC partnerships: how to apply?

We encourage EU-LAC business partnerships addressing digital transformation challenges through Open Innovation to apply to these acceleration services.  

To qualify for the EU-LAC partnership acceleration services, at least one corporate entity and one startup or innovative SME must be involved, and they both must come from different regions. The regions eligible for participation are the European Union, Latin America and the Caribbean. To demonstrate their partnership, the partners must have signed a formal agreement.

Interested EU-LAC partnerships can submit their application form after reading the Guidelines for Applicants. Only one member of the partnership will act as the main contact point during the application process.
