Our mission to bridge Chile’s innovation ecosystem with Europe and the Caribbean region continues. On May 23rd, we hosted an engaging online session via our matching platform, unveiling challenges presented by five leading Chilean corporates. This webinar, conducted in collaboration with SOFOFA Hub, a Chilean industrial association, aimed to foster potential partnerships between corporates and top-notch startups.

Let’s delve into the challenges these Latin American corporates face. And remember, startups from Europe and the Caribbean with suitable digital solutions, can connect with the corporates directly in our Matching Platform!

Optimizing logistics for forest-to-plant transport:

CMPC, a global pulp and paper industry giant, transports vast quantities of wood annually between plantations and processing facilities. The corporate envisions an optimized logistics process, integrating comprehensive information to enable dynamic scheduling based on demand, transport unit positions, and evacuation priorities. They invite digital solutions to revolutionize their supply chain operations.

Real-time analysis of liquid samples:

Molymet, a leading Chilean company in molybdenum and rhenium processing, relies on precise composition data for efficient extraction processes. The corporate seeks real-time technologies to analyze liquid samples, empowering them to optimize cleaning and roasting processes, enhance resource utilization, and boost overall efficiency.

Innovations in industrial cleaning processes:

AGROSUPER, a renowned food holding company, upholds the highest standards of product quality and safety in their processing plants. The corporate is looking for new solutions and technologies further to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in cleaning and hygiene processes. Join them in their quest for excellence in food production.

Minimizing suspended particles in mineral processing:

PUCOBRE, a Chilean-owned mining company, is committed to enhancing sustainability. Despite significant reductions in suspended material, they aim to decrease particulate emissions in their processing plants further. They are keen on exploring innovative technologies to achieve this goal, driving continuous process improvement.

Transforming waste heat into valuable resources:

SQM, a global mining company based in northern Chile, operates across industries crucial for sustainable development, such as health, food, technology and clean energies. One of their key operations involves drying salts using a rotary dryer, generating significant heat. After drying, the product cools down, releasing heat through industrial chimneys. Through our accelerator, SQM seeks a technological solution to capture and reuse this residual heat, helping them reduce energy consumption and reliance on fossil fuels.

These challenges presented by our collaborators from SOFOFA Hub, Mariana Thielemann, Alan García and Flavio Llanos, are exciting opportunities for European and Caribbean startups to showcase their innovative digital solutions and collaborate with industry leaders in Chile. They are reachable on our matching platform, the online space to grow business networks across the Atlantic.
